Like every industry, care has seen meteoric change in the use of technology to drive improvements in the delivery of care and support of carers.

However, innovation has always been about more than technology, it’s about the people behind it.

Every decision we make, every investment we choose, is designed to help our carers provide the highest quality of care and to strengthen the relationships that sit at the heart of what we do.

Over the past month, we have introduced PASS, a digital care management system that helps us bring together the human and technological sides of care in a meaningful way.

The move is part of our ongoing strategy to give our team the right tools to help families and ultimately free up more time for what matters most – compassionate, person-centred care.

Innovation that supports people, not replaces them

Technology in care should never be about removing the human touch. It should be about supporting the professionals who deliver it every day.

For us, PASS supports the work that our incredible team do, by reducing time spent on administration and creating a single, shared platform for up-to-date information.

Thanks to this our carers can make faster, more informed decisions that directly benefit clients with speed and ease.

It also ensures that everyone involved in a person’s care, from our office staff to families, has access to accurate information in real time.

A culture of continuous improvement

Innovation at Nexus doesn’t stop with one new system, it’s woven into the way we think and operate.

We are continually exploring new ideas, listening to feedback from our team and clients and asking how we can make the experience of care even better tomorrow than it is today.

We believe that this mindset has helped us create an environment where carers feel supported and valued and where clients and families know their wellbeing is our highest priority.

Strengthening trust through connection

Another important part of this development is the OpenPASS Family Portal, which allows relatives to view care plans, notes and updates securely in real time.

We know how vital it is for families to feel connected to their loved one’s care.

To access the portal, families will need to provide digital consent by emailing info@nexuscareservices.co.uk

Once received, our team will help them set up access and guide them through the process.
