Read more2023 has given us ample opportunities to showcase the important work we do, thanks to our numerous accolades and nominations that have highlighted our commitment to excellence in the health and social care sector.
Our journey through this year’s awards season reflects our dedication to providing outstanding care and innovative services.
We start with the honour of being shortlisted for Domiciliary Care Provider of the Year at the Health Investor Awards which took place in June at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
This recognition came after a strict selection process, where we showcased our standout qualities as a care company. Being chosen in the top ten from over 200 applicants is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.
Our achievements continued in July at the Staffordshire Dignity in Care Awards, held at the Newcastle College of Performing Arts. Here, two of our colleagues, Amanda Dunn and Monica Paraschiv, were shortlisted for their exceptional contributions.
While Amanda was praised for her outstanding service and commitment to professional development, Monica claimed the top award for her role in launching Nexus Events.
This service has been instrumental in providing enriching experiences for people over the age of 50 in our community.
Another proud moment came with our shortlisting in the Innovation in Home Care category at the Leaders in Care Awards, which took place at the Birmingham’s National Conference Centre in October. This nomination was decided by a panel of industry experts who recognised our efforts in driving quality care and innovation.
October also saw Samuel Court, Director at Nexus, win the prestigious Thirty Under 30 Award at the Care Show in Birmingham, recognising his innovative approach in care. Our Managing Director, Tinga Umera, also received a personal accolade in October with his shortlisting for the Black Achievers Awards, which took place in Nottingham. The nomination acknowledged his significant contributions and leadership in the care sector.
In November, our unique Nexus Events service was shortlisted for the Business Initiative of the Year Award at the National Care Awards which was held at the Platinum Suite in London.
December saw us as finalists at the Caring UK Awards at the Athena in Leicester, where we placed in the top five in the employer of the year category.
2023 has been a year of recognition and celebration for Nexus Care Services. Each award and nomination we have received reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and the compassionate care we provide to our clients.
These accolades not only honour our achievements but also inspire us to continue elevating the standards of care and service in our industry.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our brilliant team, as none of this success would have been achieved without their hard work and care. Their continued efforts ensure that Nexus remains a top employer and competitor within the industry, as well as enabling us to give back to the community.
We can’t wait to see what 2024 brings, and hopefully we’ll have the chance to win more accolades!
