Nexus Care team take part in Memory Walk in support of the Alzheimer’s Society

The weather held fair in Sutton Park on 16 September as more than a dozen members of our team took part in a Memory Walk, all in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society in Birmingham.

The five-kilometre walk around Sutton Park, which was organised by the Alzheimer’s Society, left many with sore feet, but it was all worth it to raise awareness for a devastating disease that we at Nexus Care are all too aware of.

Managing Director, Tinga Umera, said: “As carers, we have seen first-hand the impact that Alzheimer’s has had on people and their families, so we agreed to take part in the Memory Walk without hesitation.

“It was a special day, and we were all pleased that it didn’t rain, but most importantly, we raised lots of money for the Alzheimer’s Society which will help them in their battle against this awful disease.”

In addition to the walk, we have made a £200 donation to the Alzheimer’s Society in support of our participation in the event.
