  • Understand the work – You will have the chance to shadow an experienced carer, observe their role and participate in their daily routines and tasks. This includes home care, where you will assist people with tasks in their homes.
  • Learn the skill set – Every aspect of care work requires a specific set of skills. Be it administering medication, personal care or facilitating community interactions. You will see firsthand the diverse set of skills needed to excel in this field.
  • Feel the impact – Most importantly, you will witness the immense positive impact that your work can have on someone’s life. From helping them lead a more independent lifestyle to simply providing companionship, the role of a carer is vital and rewarding.
