Nexus Care Services Co-ordinator puts her best foot forward for Cancer Research

Our experienced care co-ordinator, Samantha Gordon, is warming up to take part in this year’s Race for Life for Cancer Research.

Supported by her friends and colleagues at Nexus Care Services, Samantha hopes to raise money during Birmingham’s Pretty Muddy 5k Race for Life, which takes place on 15 July.

Like many people, Samantha has lost several friends and family members to cancer in recent years and wants to raise awareness and much-needed funds for this incredible charity.

This run will see her leap over obstacles and dive deep into sticky pits of mud as she raises money for this national charity, which supports people with cancer and conducts vital research into the disease.

“I just want to do my little bit to support such a wonderful cause,” said Samantha. “Everyone at Nexus has been really supportive and got behind my fundraising efforts.”

Nexus Care Services Director, Samuel Court, said: “When Samantha told us that she was going to take part in this tough event we knew we all wanted to get behind her.

“She already does such amazing work providing care to people in the community and assisting with the coordination of our many of carers that we wanted to say thank you by throwing ourselves behind this cause.”

While many of her colleagues have already offered support, Samantha hopes that the wider community will get behind her by providing donations.
