Community Care

What is Community Care?

Nexus Community Care provides help for those times when a little additional support is needed, whilst still enabling independent living at home.

Help with jobs around the home

We recognise that you or your loved one may not require at home care on a daily basis

You may instead appreciate a little extra help around the house or perhaps someone to offer support when going out into the community.

If you or a relative needs help with the preparation of a home-cooked meal, shopping, gardening, or housework, we’re here for you.

No job is too big or too small. With our Community Care service, you are welcome to book us for a one-off, ad hoc visit or a regular weekly or monthly service – the choice is yours.

Support to help you get out and about

We understand that going out into the community can feel a little overwhelming for some people.

Popping to the local shops or bank, attending an optician’s or doctor’s appointment, or simply enjoying an afternoon at the local park or coffee shop can be difficult if you have mobility and health problems, or lack the confidence to use public transport to get there.

If these visits would be made easier with someone alongside you to offer support, Nexus Care Services are here to help.

How does Community Care work?

All of our carers are fully trained to the highest standards and our rigorous recruitment process means only individuals who meet our training, experience and reference requirements are placed with clients.

We will come to your home to carry out a free, no obligation assessment that will determine how much or little care you need and how often you need it.

We will match a community carer with you who will be most compatible with your needs.

We offer an ad hoc service so you only pay when you need our help. There are no contracts or retainer fees – just a simple hourly rate.

Need a trusted professional?

Our community care division also has access to a wide range of businesses and professionals that can help us to help you.

We are able to put you in touch with a range of professionals to help you with remain independent at home. This includes:
