Advocacy

In today’s fast-paced, digitally-connected world, life can sometimes feel very daunting for the elderly.

We live in a society that is dominated by the internet, with forms to complete, benefits to claim, pensions to arrange, district nurses and social workers to deal with all adding to the stress of living independently.

We understand that sometimes it can be helpful to have support and a helping hand and that’s why we provide an advocacy service.

What is an advocate?

Our Advocates are not carers themselves but they are people who are very experienced in dealing with matters on behalf of another person.

Our advocates can arrange all of the things that our clients require in order to ensure that they receive the services they are entitled to and need.

It might be that additional support is needed to deal with utility providers and ensure that the best price is obtained. Sometimes help is required to sort out pension or benefit payments, or to speak to banks and other organisations.

Our advocates have no power or authority to act independently; they can only act on the instruction of our clients and with their knowledge and consent.

If you would like to find out more about our services or wish to book your free, no obligation assessment get in touch.

What our clients say…

“Having the additional help from Nexus has meant the difference between having no life at all and having a life!”

Peace of mind guaranteed

Our robust recruitment process, which includes full DBS background checks, means only carers who meet our rigorous training, experience and reference requirements are placed with clients.

This ensures you receive the best level of home care and have peace of mind that our carers meet the highest standards.

Nexus Care also holds full insurance that provides cover for the client and the carer whilst they are on duty.
