Nexus is a private care provider however there are occasions we deal with direct funding clients and local authorities. With direct payments, the family will receive an amount of money per month as a contribution and the client will then top up the difference of the care providers cost. For funding, they should contact there local authority to arrange a social worker financial assessment to see what help can be given towards the cost of their care and if the care can be funded through the local authority with Nexus being the chosen provider. In addition, the family should look further into attendance allowance and carers allowance also to further help with care costs.
