Nexus Care Services is celebrating after being named Royal Sutton Coldfield Small Business of the Year at the Royal Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth and Cannock Chase (SLTC) Awards 2026.

Hosted by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, the SLTC Awards are now in their tenth year of recognising and rewarding leading businesses across the region.

Nexus was shortlisted alongside five other local organisations for the Royal Sutton Coldfield category before taking home the top prize on the night.

The win follows a strong year of growth and community impact for Nexus, including the recruitment of new carers, the delivery of exceptional care to a growing client base and the continued development of initiatives designed to support timely hospital discharges and deliver safe, person-centred private care at home.

Managing Director, Tinga Umera, proudly picked up the award on the night. He said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won Small Business of the Year. To be recognised like this, in a category full of brilliant local businesses, means a great deal to the entire Nexus Care Services team.

“It has been an incredible twelve months. We have welcomed new carers, strengthened our service and continued to support more people to live safely and independently at home.

“This award reflects the passion and commitment our carers and wider team bring every day. I could not be prouder.”

The glitzy awards ceremony took place on 12 February 2026 at Statfold Country Park, bringing together businesses from across the region for an evening of celebration, networking and entertainment.
