Recent snowy and icy conditions across the West Midlands created real challenges for travel, but our priority at Nexus Care Services remained clear.
Making sure people continued to receive the home care they rely on, even in difficult weather, while our carers remained safe.
Across Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth, our team braved snow, ice and disrupted travel to keep essential visits going.
From early mornings to late evenings, our team adapted routes, allowed extra travel time and worked closely with our office staff to ensure care plans were delivered safely and with minimal disruption.
We know that periods of severe weather can be unsettling, particularly for those who depend on regular support.
While there were occasions where timings had to be adjusted, our focus throughout was on continuity of care, clear communication and safety for everyone involved.
We would like to say a huge thank you to our carers. Their dedication, professionalism and determination during challenging conditions truly reflect the values of Nexus.
Many went above and beyond, travelling carefully through difficult conditions to be there for the people they support.
We would also like to thank the individuals and families receiving care for their patience and understanding during this period.
We appreciate how disruptive weather-related delays can be and we are grateful for the kindness and flexibility shown, while our team worked hard to reach everyone that they could.
Supporting our local communities means being there when conditions are at their toughest.
We are proud of how our team came together and thankful to everyone involved for helping us continue delivering home care when it mattered most.
