At the end of October, our managing director, Tinga Umera, was named Registered Care Manager of the Year at the 2025 West Midlands Care Association (WMCA) Awards.
The award recognised his outstanding leadership, professionalism, passion and commitment to the care sector.
It is a testament to his continued drive to provide outstanding care and support services to those who need it most while nurturing ambitious and upcoming carers who are ready to make a difference.
Tinga’s award win has gained local media attention from the Express and Star, who have done a special feature on Tinga’s win. The piece highlighted Tinga’s wonderful win, as well as spotlighting Tinga’s journey to Nexus and the impact he has made.
That impact includes playing an important role in helping Nexus Care Services receive a good rating across all five sections of the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) regulations and helping Nexus make the top 20 Home Care providers in the West Midlands in 2024 and 2025.
Nexus continues to go from strength to strength and Tinga has more than played his part and the recognition from the WMCA and the local media attention highlights the outstanding job he continues to do.
