At Nexus, supporting our carers goes far beyond the working day. Here is a glimpse at some of the activity happening behind the scenes that reflects our dedication to our team’s wellbeing.
221 interviews conducted in 2025
Our team worked incredibly hard across 2025 to bring the very best new talent into the Nexus family. In total, 221 formal interviews were conducted throughout the year.
246 coffee chats and meet-ups with carers
Since joining Nexus, Amanda Runham, our Client Relationship and Employee Welfare Manager, has personally held 246 coffee chats and one-to-one meet-ups with carers, including 149 in 2025 alone. These sessions are dedicated time for carers to share how they are feeling, raise any concerns and feel genuinely heard as individuals.
139 carer check-in contacts since September 2025
Since Nexus moved to the PASS system in September 2025, the rota team has recorded 139 check-in contacts with carers over seven months.
Again, this represents only the formally recorded interactions. The day-to-day conversations, quick calls and impromptu check-ins that happen as a matter of course within our team.
