What a fantastic honour it was to be recognised as the regional winner of the Home Care Employer Award at the Great British Care Awards 2024!
The awards celebrate the very best in social care across the UK, and we are over the moon to have been part of such an inspiring event.
Celebrating a triple nomination
This year, we were nominated in three categories:
- Home Care Employer Award
- Best Home Care Registered Manager (Tinga)
- Putting People First Award (Monica)
Winning the Home Care Employer Award was incredible and demonstrates our commitment to creating a supportive, empowering environment for our incredible team.
The judges were impressed by our overall dedication to both clients and carers.
However, it was our support of our care team and our willingness to be pioneers in new employment practices that helped us shine through.
Putting our team first
Our success would not be possible without our amazing carers, who are at the heart of everything we do.
From those just starting their careers with us to team members with over five years of service, we are proud of our inclusive workplace where staff feel valued and supported.
A national stage awaits
Winning this regional award propels us into the National Finals next spring, and we couldn’t be more excited to represent the Midlands on this prestigious platform.
Managing Director Tinga said: “Winning the Home Care Employer Award is an incredible honour and reflects the hard work of our entire team. Every single person has played a huge role in this success.
“We are passionate about providing top-tier care for our clients while creating a supportive and rewarding environment for our staff. Representing the Midlands at the national finals is a privilege, and we look forward to continuing to innovate in person-centred care.”
Recognising the wider team
We are also immensely proud of our shortlisted nominees.
- Tinga, whose work as our CQC manager has helped ensured compliance with regulatory standards, helping us provide the best possible care and always striving to do better for those we support.
- Monica, recognised for her dedication to putting people first, particularly through the creation of Nexus Events.
Monica runs Nexus Events, which provides social outings and holidays that combat social isolation.
These events have become a lifeline for many people in Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas, offering meaningful connections and care in a fun, supportive setting.
