Nexus Care Services goes the extra mile for Good Hope Hospital Charity!

Kicking off its partnership with Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield’s Nexus Care Services is getting in the festive spirit with two very special donations for patients spending Christmas on the ward.

The Nexus team will be getting involved with the Good Hope Hospital Charity’s Virtual Gift initiative, providing much-needed gifts and opportunities for children, young people and older patients – from gifts and festive activities to support packs for parents of newborns and overnight stays for loved ones.

The collection is set to kick off an ongoing programme of support and sponsorship for Good Hope Hospital by Nexus, with an exciting calendar of fundraising opportunities run by the hospital’s charity planned for 2025.

This will include a dedicated toy drive for the hospital by Nexus, supported internally by generous staff and a culture of community giving.

Tinga Umera, Managing Director at Nexus Care Services, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be supporting our local hospital and its incredible work with patients at Christmas and beyond.

“Our fantastic team members are no strangers to getting involved with local and national charities, and it’s thanks to this team effort that we’re able to step up our community support in the coming year.

“We understand how challenging it can be for individuals and families when someone isn’t well at Christmas, so we’re all grateful for the opportunity to help in alleviating that for local people.

“The mission of Good Hope Hospital Charity to support tailored care, independence and as many good experiences as possible for all patients really resonates with our team. We’re all excited to see where our partnership will lead, and we can’t wait to get stuck into fundraising in 2025!”

Elle Huguet, Assistant Fundraising Manager at Good Hope Hospital Charity said, “Here at the Charity we are very excited to be partnering with Nexus Care.

“As a charity dedicated to the patients, their families, and staff at Good Hope Hospital, we know that this will really help us to continue providing support during their treatment journey.

“What we fund includes a huge range of projects to help patients, from providing lollipops to take away the taste chemotherapy leaves behind to activities for our older patients and creating child-friendly spaces for our youngest patients.

“Fundraising and donations from local companies like Nexus are crucial in helping us to continue to go “over and above” what the NHS provides as standard for our patients at Good Hope Hospital.”
