Nexus Events clients have a ball at three-night getaway in Ross-on-Wye

To mark the second year of Nexus Events, we recently organised a three-night holiday for a group of 11 clients to the picturesque town of Ross-on-Wye.

This marks the first time Nexus Events has taken clients on an extended trip, and a fantastic time was had by all.

Monica Paraschiv, Events Manager at Nexus Events, said: “This was a wonderful experience for everyone involved. It was our first time taking clients away for more than just a day, and the positive impact it had on them was clear to see. The joy on their faces over those three days was truly heartwarming.”

The group stayed at a hotel specifically chosen for its accessibility to the elderly and disabled, ensuring that everyone could fully enjoy their time away.

The trip was made even more special by the presence of one of our dedicated volunteers, Sharon, who provided invaluable assistance throughout the holiday.

The itinerary was packed with enjoyable activities, starting with morning wake-up calls accompanied by hot drinks, followed by delicious three-course meals.

During the getaway, two trips were booked. One, a scenic drive through the Forest of Dean with a relaxing stop by the River Trent for a cup of tea, and the other a visit to a local shopping centre where clients indulged in some retail therapy and freshly baked cakes.

Afternoons were spent unwinding with a glass of wine, playing games, and enjoying each other’s company.

However, it was the evenings that truly stole the show. After dinner, clients were treated to a variety of entertainment, including live music, a quiz night, and a lively game of bingo.

The days ended on a cosy note with everyone gathering for a cup of hot chocolate before heading to bed.

The feedback from clients has been incredibly positive, with many expressing how much they enjoyed the trip, and we’re already exploring another holiday for later this year.

“We’re proud to have been able to offer this experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next trip,” added Monica. “These events are about creating lasting memories and I believe that all of our clients got to do this, which for me is truly rewarding.”
