Read moreWe continue to see great success at some of the UK and region’s top awards, which is why we are delighted to announce that we have been named a finalist of the Midlands Family Business Awards 2024.
One of only six businesses shortlisted in the Family Business of the Year category, we pride ourselves on operating as a family-run business, incorporating the values of teamwork, personal development and person-centred care into its approach to client work.
The achievement recognises not only the core offering of our client-first care but also the growth and diversification of Nexus, aimed at giving back and helping those in the community.
Having recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, we are now proud to count several family members of Founder, John Court, among its management team – including Director, Samuel Court, Finance Manager, Elizabeth Court, Events Manager, Monica Paraschiv, and Recruitment Manager, Susan Featherstone.
Director, Samuel Court, said: “We have always been a business with a family ethos, and this has shaped how we approach the care we provide, the clients we serve and how we support our team.
“It’s an honour for all of us to be recognised as a finalist – and a reflection of our commitment to the entire Nexus family, including our wonderful staff and clients.
“We’ve created a culture of valuing all our staff as part of the family, taking into account their needs, goals and individuality, as well as those of our clients.
“As national advocates for the provision of home care, we are leading the way by demonstrating its benefits through our family-feel ethos and person-first approach to care, recruitment and our operations.”
Run by The Wilson Organisation, itself a third-generation family business, the awards recognise the significant contribution that these enterprises make to the region, their staff and the people they serve.
The team recently joined the other shortlisted businesses at a special finalists lunch at the stunning Carriage Hall in Nottingham, where they learned more about the value of these awards and got to network with other finalists, while also meeting with the judges and organisers.
Winners of this year’s awards will be announced at a highly anticipated celebration of excellence on 3 October 2024, at Athena, Leicester.
