Home Care

GET IN TOUCH

Why we do it

We are not like other providers of care. We aim to exceed your expectations from the first contact you have with us and that is what makes us different, unique, dedicated and very good at what we do.

As people live longer, they want to have the choice to remain in their homes, where they have built their lives and brought up their families – and we also want them to have that option. We want to champion our clients’ independence and change the status quo within the care sector. We do what we do because we care. We want as many people as possible to have access to care at home and help them live their lives to the fullest.

Home Care – the Nexus difference

Person centred care – We focus on our clients needs and actively seek their participation in the care they receive.

Carers times and calls to suit – Carers deliver our promises and our high standards of care. We strive to provide our carers with the hours of work that suit them most, the clients who they bond with and runs with the shortest amount of travel and waiting time.

Excellence in all that we do – Our daily reminder that Nexus is a premium supplier of care and people expect us to deliver an excellent service, every day, every time.

Call times asked for – We have built our reputation on; and actively promote; that clients will receive calls at the time they request (give or take 15 minutes either side to allow for traffic and the unforeseen).

Yes – We have developed a “Yes” culture within our company and will always do our utmost to say yes in the first
instance to the requests that are made of us.

What type of care do you provide?

Our home visits vary in duration and frequency to suit each client’s needs. We know that a one size fits all approach does not meet everyone’s needs so we are completely flexible and can create a tailored package of care to suit your requirements. As a general guide, care at home can include:

Morning Calls

to assist with washing and dressing, provide assistance with a shower or thorough strip wash including hair washing, prepare breakfast and assist with medication.

Lunch Calls

are great if you require us to prepare a home cooked meal. We also assist with bathroom use if required. Any personal care is carried out with the utmost privacy, dignity and respect at all times.

Supper Calls

are made in the afternoon or early evening to provide a warm drink and snack and make sure you are safe and well and have access to all you need for the remainder of the day.

Evening Calls

to assist you safely into bed and where needed Nexus can provide overnight calls of a sleepover or waking night.

Some needs are more complex so each client undergoes a full personal assessment of their needs and throughout the duration of care regular reviews are carried out.

Dementia Care

We specialise in supporting clients with dementia.

Dementia is a broad term that describes a decline in cognitive ability severe enough to interfere with daily life.

There are several types of dementia, including vascular dementia, advanced dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and Lewy body dementia.  There is no cure for dementia, but there are treatments available that can help manage the symptoms and improve the quality of life for people with the condition.

If you or a relative has received a diagnosis, you may feel overwhelmed.

Having a tailored care plan and support from a regular team of care professionals can help manage the condition and monitor its progress. Importantly, it also provides valuable respite for a spouse or relative caring for someone with dementia.

“Having the additional help from Nexus has meant the difference between having no life at all and having a life!”

This ensures you receive the best level of home care and have peace of mind that our carers meet the highest standards.

We also have full comprehensive insurance covering public, products and employers liability alongside professional indemnity to help reassure all of our clients.
