Nexus Care Services shortlisted in two categories at the Great British Care Awards

We are delighted to share that Nexus Care Services has been shortlisted for two awards at the Great British Care Awards 2026 West Midlands regionals.

We are finalists in the Home Care Employer Award and the Dignity in Care Award, recognising both our investment in our people and our person-centred approach to care.

These shortlistings build on a strong record at the awards. We won regional honours in the West Midlands last year and went on to the national stages as a finalist.

Our employer nomination reflects changes designed to give our carers security and a long-term future. We offer our field staff guaranteed hours, and our office staff are currently working a four-day week.

We have also expanded access to NVQs and advanced training. Over the past year, several care team members have moved into office-based roles, while many others have progressed into Senior Care positions.

Our dignity nomination recognises an approach in which care plans are shaped around each individual in partnership with clients and their families and reviewed regularly through the PASS digital care system.

Carers are matched to clients wherever possible so that trusted relationships can form and our advocacy service helps clients make sure their voices are heard in decisions about their own care.

This year we have also introduced nurse-led complex care, supported by a new CQC-regulated Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury registration. It means people with complex health needs can remain safely at home, with their dignity intact.
