One day you might be helping someone with their morning routine, and the next, you could be supporting a client on an outing to the supermarket. This variety keeps the work exciting and engaging.

What type of care does Nexus provide?

First things first, you need to know the type of care we offer for our clients.

We provide excellent care to clients in the comfort of their own homes across Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth (plus the surrounding areas), but this comes in different forms, including:

• Home Care
• Live In Care
• Community Care
• Advocacy
• Children’s Services

Our primary focus is putting our clients at the centre of everything we do and taking the time to truly understand their needs.

This commitment is shared by our team members and is reflected in the quality of care they provide.

What job roles can you expect at Nexus Care?

If you’re drawn to the idea of a career that offers variety and the opportunity to make a real difference, you should consider a role at Nexus Care Services.

Here are some examples of the types of roles and duties you could be expected to do as a carer:

• Day-time carers: Supporting older adults throughout the day in the comfort of their own homes. Your daily tasks will include helping with activities such as personal care and hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. This helps our clients maintain their independence at home and improve their quality of life.
• Helping individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s: Carers in this area help to provide a stable environment for clients with symptoms such as memory loss and confusion. This role requires a blend of compassion, patience and robust problem-solving abilities.
• Supporting clients with specialist medical needs: Some of our clients need extra one-on-one support and assistance, particularly those with specialist medical needs. We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and experienced carer for a non-verbal, non-mobile teenager in Great Barr. This role involves attentive care, including PEG feeding. We’re looking for someone who can join our team on alternate weekends, working alongside another experienced carer.
• Evening and night-time carers: We provide several tailored night care options to meet the unique needs of our clients, including:
• Sleepover services: Carers for this role are available throughout the night, offering assistance and companionship to ensure the continuous welfare and security of our clients.
• Waking night care: This service is designed for clients requiring more comprehensive support. Carers remain awake and vigilant throughout the night, ready to assist with pain management, toileting, hygiene and providing emotional reassurance whenever needed.

Whether you prefer structured, full-time work or flexible, part-time opportunities, each position is designed to make a meaningful impact on our clients.

Full-time, part-time and weekend positions

We are recruiting for a variety of job roles, including full-time, part-time and weekend contracts across Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth and Lichfield.

Our competitive pay rates start at £12.00 per hour during weekdays and increase to £12.50 on weekends. Carers working in teams of two receive £12.75 per hour.

Full-time contracts are ideal for experienced carers looking for financial stability and guaranteed work hours.

We also offer weekend contracts for those looking to boost their income. Our weekend contracts begin on Friday evenings and run for 20 hours over the weekend.
