Hello and welcome to the latest monthly newswire, brought to you by Nexus Care Services.

October is often associated with Halloween and ‘trick or treats’, and I can firmly say that for Nexus Care Services, October has been a month full of treats!

In this newswire, we look back at a month of celebrations, including three award nominations and our exciting expansion into Florida, USA. We will also get to learn a bit more about the newest addition to our team, Yashira Ortiz, who will be heading up our Florida operations.

We also take a look at winter pressures, and how Nexus Care Services can relieve the pressure on the NHS during the harsher months.

As usual, the newsletter includes highlights from our weekly blogs, all of which are just a click away and available for you to read at your leisure. We also briefly discuss the latest episode of our podcast, the topic of which surrounds the benefits of working in the care sector.

I hope you enjoy reading what is a very celebratory newswire.

Tinga Umera, Managing Director, Nexus Care Services

Macmillan Coffee Morning a resounding success

Some of the finest cakes and hot beverages were assembled at Nexus HQ on Friday 29th September, as we took part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning.

A great time was had by all, with over £100 raised for Macmillan.

This fantastic event ran hot on the heels of our participation in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk, where we made a £200 donation.

Charities such as Macmillan and the Alzheimer’s Society are extremely close to our hearts, so watch this space for future fundraising events.
