Read moreTraditional gifts for a second anniversary usually come in the form of cotton, but we thought we would break from tradition, and organise a three-night getaway instead!
As is the way with all things inside Nexus Events, our latest pioneering excursion came from the mind of Events Manager, Monica Paraschiv.
“In such a short space of time, Nexus Events has gone from strength to strength,” said Monica. “We’ve been fortunate enough to organise so many great activities and days out for our clients, and the feedback has been nothing but positive.
“As we approach our second anniversary, we thought we’d go that bit extra and organise a three-night retreat for our clients, something that has never really been done before in the care sector.
“We’ve been really happy with the response since we announced it would be happening, so many people want to join us which is great.”
Nexus Events’ second anniversary was held within a social function room at Sutton Rose Care Home in Boldmere, which also couples up as an independent living complex.
We had over 20 people attend where we celebrated with games, bingo, a singsong and relived all the events of the last couple of years. We had our regulars, new people, and all our volunteers here to celebrate too.
We also had a visit from the CEO and Owner John who spoke with the clients and gave a short speech thanking everyone for their continued support.
The benchmark getaway will be taking place from Tuesday 20th August to Friday 23rd August at the Merton Hotel in Ross-On-Wye.
With another year of exciting events nearly under the belt, year three of Nexus Events promises to be the most exciting yet.
“We have a fair few plans for the next 12 months,” said Monica, “and we can’t wait to share them with our clients.”
There is still one space available for our Ross-On-Wye holiday, so if you’d like to attend or register your interest in future getaways and events, please contact Monica Paraschiv by emailing monica@nexuscareservices.co.uk or calling 0121 308 2906 (ext. 3).
