Nexus Care Services makes the finals of prestigious Family Business Awards

Sutton Coldfield-based home care provider, Nexus Care Services, has continued its tradition of excellence as it is named a finalist of the Midlands Family Business Awards 2024.

One of only six businesses shortlisted in the Family Business of the Year category, Nexus prides itself on operating as a family-run business, incorporating its values of teamwork, personal development and person-centred care into its approach to client work.

The achievement recognises not only the core offering of client-first care, but the growth and diversification of Nexus, aimed at giving back and helping those in the community.

Having recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, the care provider, which operates across Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth and Lichfield, now counts several family members of Founder, John Court, among its management team – including Director, Samuel Court, Finance Manager, Elizabeth Court, Events Manager, Monica Paraschiv, and Recruitment Manager, Susan Featherstone.

Director, Samuel Court, said: “We have always been a family-first business, and this has always shaped how we approach the care we provide and the clients we serve.

“It’s an honour for all of us to be recognised as a finalist – and a reflection of our commitment to the entire Nexus family, including our wonderful staff and clients.

“We’ve created a culture of valuing all our staff as part of the family, taking into account their needs, goals and individuality, as well as those of our clients.

“As national advocates for the provision of home care, we are leading the way by demonstrating its benefits through our family-feel ethos and person-first approach to care, recruitment and our operations.”

Run by The Wilson Organisation, itself a third-generation family business, the awards recognise the significant contribution that these enterprises make to the region, their staff and the people they serve.

Winners of this year’s awards will be announced at a highly anticipated celebration of excellence on 3 October 2024, at Athena, Leicester.
