Read moreWe’ve had plenty of reasons to celebrate in recent months, with recognition of the outstanding work that our team have been doing.
October has been a particularly busy month for awards ceremonies, with Nexus Care in attendance at no less than three events.
First up was the Leaders in Care Awards on 10th October, where we were shortlisted for Innovation in Home Care – and just missed out on the top spot.
Next, we had the pleasure of attending the Thirty Under 30 Awards, which took place at the Care Show on 11th October at the NEC in Birmingham. The award celebrates thirty of tomorrow’s leaders and their successes while acknowledging their achievements.
Our very own Samuel Court, Nexus Care Services Director, had the proud honour of being listed as one of the thirty members to be inducted into the class of 2023.
“I’m very happy to have been selected to win this award,” said Samuel. “On a personal level, it is great to have been recognised for my work, but I’d like to dedicate it to my team at Nexus who have inspired and motivated me along the way.”
Finally, it was the turn of Managing Director, Tinga Umera, to take the spotlight. Tinga was nominated as a finalist in the Social Care Leadership Awards, which took place on 12th October at the London Hilton Bankside Hotel.
Tinga was nominated for the Innovation in Social Care Leader category, and although he didn’t win the award, it was an important honour to have been nominated as a finalist.
“The Social Care Leadership Awards are very prestigious,” said Tinga, “so even to be nominated highlights the recognition of the important work that everyone at Nexus Care Services has done and will continue to do.”
“What sets us apart from other care providers is our speed of assessment and our innovative methods that bring about tailored care which meets people’s specific needs. It is pleasing to know that the way we work is being brought to national attention.”
We’d like to congratulate both Tinga and Samuel for their remarkable successes this month, the recognition they have received for their hard work and continued efforts to innovate the care sector is well deserved.
With October teeming with award goodness, it would seem that November hasn’t lost its appetite. Nexus Care Services has been nominated for its brilliant Nexus Events service in the Business Initiative of the Year category at the 25th National Care Awards.
We will of course bring you the results of the National Care Awards, in our next newswire.
