Care company that “goes above and beyond” recognised at National Care Awards

Most care services would be nervous to take their clients halfway across the world to meet their long-lost family – not Nexus Care.

This is just one of the reasons why their unique Events service has been shortlisted in the prestigious National Care Awards this year.

Shortlisted for the Business Initiative of the Year Award, Nexus Events is changing the way that often-isolated people socialise and interact within society.

“We offer great opportunities to our vulnerable and elderly clients, for interaction, engagement and socialising through our programme, Nexus Events” said Monica Paraschiv, Events Manager at Nexus.

“We go above and beyond to provide fantastic opportunities for people over 50+ or in need of any assistance to go on days out, excursions and make new friends. One of our most exciting triumphs this year was being able to help take a client to America to see her family.

“This is all part of our campaign to tackle loneliness amongst our clients and the wider community.”

Beryl, a 91-year-old great-grandmother from Sutton Coldfield, flew to the US with the help of Nexus who provided a carer to assist her with her travel requirements and helped her plan the trip of a lifetime.

The National Care Awards have shortlisted Nexus Care because Nexus Events has had such a transformative impact on the way that the industry views care and the opportunities it provides for its clients.

“Any nomination is a proud moment for all of us at Nexus Care. It reinforces our commitment to delivering top-quality service within and outside the home and providing the highest quality of life experiences to our clients” Monica added.

This is one of the many awards that Nexus has been nominated for in recent years, having been named finalists at the Social Care Leadership Awards, Leaders in Care Awards, and Health Investor Awards.

Nexus plans to expand its Events service to help vulnerable people across the UK socialise and maintain a high quality of life despite their individual challenges.

It will find out whether it has won this prestigious award at a glamorous event due to be held on 24 November 2023 at the Platinum Suite in London.
